Mammogram Hell

“Your mammogram has some areas of concern.” There it is; the sentence no woman wants to hear. You are then told to schedule more mammograms and then an ultrasound. If you are lucky they tell you that you are fine, it was just a cyst, or a very fibrous area and you are relieved. I you are not so lucky, they tell you that you must come back in for a breast biopsy. This whole set of procedures are terribly uncomfortable and disconcerting for most people. Living from the truth…

Try to remember to come from the perspective of the truth when you are faced with a dilemma of some kind. Sometimes the issue is just your own mind feeding you information that is deceiving. I was having a conversation yesterday with a young women in just this sort of a dilemma. Unfortunately, she was living in that moment from the viewpoint of the deception or lie, instead of the truth. Allergies or Headcold?

Are you experiencing a sore throat, headache, sinus congestion or any of the myriad symptoms thatplague many people in the Fall season? Sometimes it is difficult to tell if you are just affected by allergiesor you have managed to catch a head cold or the ever-circulating flu bug. I have had several patients inthe last two weeks with upper respiratory disturbances that included all the symptoms of allergies andthose of the common cold. People had already been greatly affected by the recent fires, complaining ofsore throats, as well as itching and burning eyes. Now with the molds high and the emergence of fallelm and ragweed allergens, the combination of irritants continues to wreak havoc on the respiratory andimmune systems. Here are a few helpful tips for dealing with allergies, colds and flu.
